My wife and I moved to Rancho Murieta to be near our son’s family, in Elk
Grove. Rancho Murieta was hands-down the most appealing community we
found in the area. I spent my career in the tech industry, concluding at Apple Inc.
I now run a technology coaching business and volunteer with a national
nonpartisan organization advocating for bipartisan climate solutions. My
leadership experience includes serving as an advisory board member, group
leader, and state coordinator for that climate organization, as well as treasurer for a local political organization. In 2022, I ran for State Assembly in the Bay Area.
Reasons for Running
Before moving to Rancho Murieta, we lived in an HOA that was incredibly diligent about keeping its financial reserves fully funded. Naturally, before we made the move here, we checked the local HOA reserves and saw they were in great shape. What I didn’t realize at the time was that our water and sewer systems aren't managed by the HOA—they fall under the CSD.
When I started digging into the CSD's finances, I was deeply concerned by what I found. Our vital water and sewer infrastructure suffers from severely inadequate funding for maintenance and upgrades, and there is no clear plan in place to fix the shortfall.
That is exactly why I am running. We cannot afford to neglect the basic infrastructure that keeps our community running. If elected, my top priority will be bringing financial transparency and stability back to the CSD, ensuring our critical reserves are fully funded for the long haul.
